About Anita
For 38 years I have worked as a Registered Dietitian, bringing practical nutrition solutions from hospital wards to private practice and community health programs. My MA in Nutrition Education from Immaculata University informs the way I teach and design plans, and I practice as an RD and LDN who values long-term change over quick fixes. Outside the clinic I sing acappella, read widely, and play tennis and yoga to stay balanced. I am passionate about helping new patients find a positive nutrition experience that becomes part of their everyday life.
Approach to care
Evidence guides the work I do, and empathy shapes how we get there. Grounded in research and decades of clinical, private practice, and community experience, I use a Health At Every Size, weight-neutral lens to focus on behaviors and wellbeing rather than numbers. We'll learn the science behind recommendations, set clear action steps, and adjust as life changes. The goal is educational empowerment and practical, sustainable habits that honor your physical, mental, and emotional health.
Your first session with Anita
We'll start by reviewing your medical history and any lab work or biometrics so we have a clear health snapshot. I also want to explore your relationship with food, what feels supportive, and where you feel stuck. Together we'll establish short-term goals and create a realistic meal plan you can use, with practical steps you can try before our next visit. This is a low-pressure, judgment-free conversation; you do not need to have it all figured out. We'll leave with a clear, sustainable plan to move forward.
