About Andria

For 31 years I have helped people and families use food to feel better and stay well. I trained with a BS in Dietetics from The University of Southern Mississippi and have practiced at the Veterans Hospital in Jackson Mississippi, and with the Mississippi Department of Health in long-term care at Ellisville State School. I currently work with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, their families and caregivers. I plan to retire July 2027 from the Ellisville State School. As a registered and licensed dietitian, I care deeply about where our food is sourced, gut health, women's health, dysphagia treatment and nutrition support if a person is unable to consume food by mouth. When I’m not working, you’ll find me taking care of my aging, and currently unwell mother, hiking, cooking, reading, at church or bible study, walking my dog Mitchell (Schnoxie), resistance training, spending time with my husband, family and friends, working in my yard, and Orchids.

Approach to care

Evidence and compassion guide how we will work together. I use current research and proven protocols, while meeting you without judgment, so we can create sustainable habits that fit your life. We’ll focus on the whole person, not a number on a scale, and prioritize behavior change and education that you can use long term. I keep recommendations direct and practical, and we’ll adjust plans together until they truly work for your schedule and goals.

Your first session with Andria

When you arrive for the initial visit we’ll review your medical history and any lab work or biometrics, and take time to explore your relationship with food in a respectful, low-pressure way. You don’t need to have everything figured out. Together we’ll identify short-term, realistic goals and a couple of clear first steps you can try at home. Expect a collaborative conversation, practical guidance, and a plan we’ll refine as we go.
