About Amy

I’m a compassionate Registered Dietitian with over 20 years of clinical experience in both hospital and outpatient settings. I specialize in pediatric nutrition, ketogenic diets, enteral nutrition (tube feedings), and supporting healthy weight changes in alignment with appropriate growth. I provide evidence-based medical nutrition therapy tailored to each child’s unique needs, with experience managing a wide range of complex conditions. My goal is to offer clear guidance, practical meal planning, and supportive education to help children and families feel confident and successful. I’m passionate about creating a safe, comfortable, and non-judgmental space where both children and parents feel heard, understood, and empowered. Helping families build healthier habits and reach their goals in a realistic, sustainable way is at the heart of everything I do.

Approach to care

I use evidence-based nutrition as my foundation while leading with compassion and empathy. I believe nutrition should feel supportive, not overwhelming, so I work closely with children and families to create realistic strategies that fit naturally into their daily life. I take a whole-child approach, recognizing nutrition is just one piece of overall health and well-being. I provide simple, easy-to-understand guidance and practical handouts so you and your child can make confident choices without added stress. I value open communication and truly listening, creating a comfortable, judgment-free space where questions are always welcome. Together, we will focus on small, meaningful changes and personalized steps to build lasting habits and a positive relationship with food.

Your first session with Amy

During our first session, we’ll start by reviewing your child’s medical history, growth trends, feeding routines, and any lab work you may have, along with any concerns you’d like to share. This helps me fully understand your child’s unique needs, so recommendations feel appropriate, supportive, and tailored to your family. We will talk through everything in a relaxed, low-pressure conversation, creating a comfortable, judgement-free space where you can openly share your child’s history, challenges, and goals. From there, we’ll take a closer look at your child’s nutrition habits and daily routines to identify what’s working well and what things feel challenging. Together, we’ll set clear, realistic goals and build a practical plan that fits seamlessly into your everyday life.
