About Amy
Thirteen years as an RDN and LDN with a curiosity about how systems, people, and food connect. I've practiced in hospitals, private practice, the Veterans Affairs system, and as a nursing home surveyor for state government, so I bring both clinical perspective and real-world problem solving. Outside of work I walk my dog, play with my granddaughter, explore healthy restaurants, travel to taste local cuisines, and practice meditation and spiritual growth. I aim to bring warmth, practicality, and curiosity to every visit.
Approach to care
Evidence informs the plans I offer, and empathy shapes how we get there together. I work with a weight-neutral, health-at-every-size mindset, focusing on behaviors and sustainable habits rather than quick fixes or diet culture. We will translate science into clear, actionable steps you can use in daily life, while honoring the whole person, including mental and emotional well-being. My goal is to educate and empower you, keeping guidance practical, compassionate, and doable over the long term.
Your first session with Amy
When we meet for the first time you can expect a calm, judgement-free conversation where we'll review your medical history and any lab work or biometrics you have. We'll also take a deep look at your relationship with food, routines that matter, and what feels realistic for you. Together we'll set a couple of short-term goals that are specific and achievable, so you leave with clarity and a plan that fits your life. You do not need to have everything figured out, just bring your questions and what matters most to you.
