About Amanda
Hi, I’m Amanda! Food, to me, is a unique balance of science and comfort, and I love helping people find their own balance between the two. I hold an MS in Human Nutrition and Metabolism from the University of Texas Medical Branch and a BS in Food and Nutrition from Texas State University. I'm originally from Texas and now call Tampa, FL home. Over the past several years, I’ve worked with people who feel stuck in the “I know what to do, I just can’t seem to do it” cycle, and I love helping them finally build habits that feel realistic and actually stick. My approach focuses on simple, sustainable changes that fit into your real life, not a perfect version of it. When I’m not working, you’ll probably find me at Disney World, walking outside in the sun, eating something delicious, or hanging out with my husband, dog, and two cats.
Approach to care
Evidence matters, but so do kindness, flexibility, and having a plan that actually works in your real life. I take a gentle, sustainable approach to nutrition, focusing on behaviors that support your overall well-being rather than chasing a number on the scale or aiming for perfection. We’ll look at the full picture, including sleep, stress, routines, and your relationship with food. And I’ll always explain the “why” behind recommendations so we can work together to choose what feels right for you. Together, we’ll focus on small, practical steps and realistic accountability so you can build habits that feel doable, not overwhelming, and that actually last.
Your first session with Amanda
Expect a supportive, judgment-free conversation where you don’t need to have everything figured out. We’ll review your medical history, take a deeper look at your relationship with food, and talk about what’s worked and what hasn’t. From there, we’ll identify a few short-term, realistic goals so you leave feeling clear, confident, and not overwhelmed. My goal is that we create a plan you can actually use, one small, doable step at a time.
