About Allison
I enjoy translating scientific evidence into practical, realistic steps that fit everyday life. Outside the clinic I recharge by hiking, cooking, practicing yoga, reading, and lifting weights. Those interests keep me rooted in balance and curiosity, which I bring to every conversation with patients.
Approach to care
Evidence and empathy guide how I work. I practice from a Health at Every Size, weight-neutral perspective, focusing on behaviors and quality of life rather than scale-based outcomes. We'll use current research to develop clear, actionable steps, and I make space for the emotional and social parts of eating too. My role is to teach you the why behind recommendations, offer practical strategies, and hold gentle accountability so change is sustainable and respectful of your whole life.
Your first session with Allison
We'll begin by reviewing your medical history and any treatments or medications that affect nutrition, then take a thoughtful, non-judgmental look at your relationship with food. I want to hear about routines, struggles, and small wins so we can identify realistic short-term goals together. You don't need to have it all figured out before our visit, just bring your questions and honesty; we'll leave with clear next steps tailored to your life.
