About Alexis
Hi, I’m Alex, a registered dietitian with a background in nutrition communications, food systems, and health education. My career began in agriculture, where I worked closely with farmers, researchers, and health professionals to translate nutrition science into practical, evidence-based guidance – especially around foods that are often misunderstood in the media. Through this work, I developed a strong passion for helping people cut through nutrition confusion and feel more confident in their food choices. I’ve spent years addressing common misconceptions, simplifying complex nutrition topics, and promoting balanced, realistic approaches to eating that support long-term health.
Approach to care
I bring that same philosophy into my work with my clients. I focus on creating a supportive, judgment-free space where individuals can build sustainable habits and improve their relationship with food. My specialties include weight management, cardiovascular health, diabetes education, sports nutrition, men’s and women’s health, meal planning, and sleep-supportive nutrition. I also enjoy helping clients navigate intuitive eating, reduce food-related stress, and quiet “food noise” by reconnecting with internal hunger cues and practical strategies. I believe nutrition should feel approachable – not overwhelming – and that there’s room for flexibility, enjoyment, and cultural relevance in every eating pattern. My goal is to meet you where you are and help you create a way of eating that works for your life.
Your first session with Alexis
In our first session, my priority is to get to know you – your health history, wellness goals, day-to-day routine, and relationship with food. Together, we’ll identify an approach that feels realistic and sustainable for your lifestyle, focusing on building balance, variety, and consistency over time. This is a judgment-free space. No matter where you’re starting, I will provide the tools, education, and support to help you feel confident in your choices. Whether your goals include weight management, improving health conditions, or simply feeling better in your day-to-day life, we’ll focus on small, meaningful changes that add up to lasting habits. My goal is to help you enhance your current routine – not overhaul it – so you can create a way of eating that is enjoyable, flexible, and truly works for you long term.
