About Alexis
Alexis is a compassionate and energetic dietitian who is passionate about helping people heal their relationships with food and their bodies. Alexis has worked in the Residential and outpatient levels of care in eating disorder treatment and is currently working towards her Inclusive Eating Disorder Specialist (IEDS) certification. Alexis aligns with a non-diet, all foods fit, and HAESĀ® (health at every size) approach to nutrition. She is passionate about empowering individuals to learn how to nourish both their bodies and mind while providing easy-to-digest nutrition information to help clientās re-create a positive relationship with food. When Alexis is not spending time with her clients, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, as well as her two corgis and two cats. Alexis finds enjoyment in reading, crocheting, trying new restaurants and coffee shops, practicing yoga, swimming, and being outside. She is excited to be a part of your recovery journey!
Approach to care
Alexis implements a patient-centered approach to treatment and values transparency, validation, and of course a little bit of humor in her sessions. Evidence and empathy shape how she works, combining current research with a warm, nonjudgmental space so we can be honest about whatās realistic for your life. She practices through a Health At Every Size lens, focusing on behaviors, wellbeing, and long-term habits rather than weight. She deeply cares about helping others find food freedom and educating about the harmful effects of diet culture on our society.
Your first session with Alexis
Weāll begin with a deep dive into your relationship with food, looking at routines, how your past and/or society has shaped your beliefs about food and your body, successes, struggles, and how eating fits into your life. This is a low-pressure, judgment-free conversation, so you donāt need to have everything figured out before you arrive. Iāll listen, ask questions, share evidence-based observations, and together weāll choose practical steps to start your healing journey.
