About Abigail
Food has always been where science meets comfort for me. As an RD with an MS in Nutrition Science from Kent State University and four years working in hospitals and long term care, I use clinical training to make nutrition practical and relatable. I love establishing short-term goals with patients and watching those goals compound into success. Outside of the clinical and patient setting, I bake sourdough, watch birds, tend to my garden, and attend concerts, so I know the power of small rituals for wellbeing.
Approach to care
Evidence guides my recommendations, but people, not protocols, shape the plan. I draw on current research to create clear, practical steps we can try together to prioritize sustainable habits over quick fixes. I practice from a weight-neutral, Health At Every Size perspective and honor the whole person, including mental and emotional wellbeing. I bring warmth and directness, offering education and accountability so you feel supported, heard, and empowered to make long-term change.
Your first session with Abigail
We'll begin by reviewing your medical history and having an open conversation about your relationship with food, not to judge (!) but to understand how food plays a role in your life. I like to establish one or two short-term, actionable goals during that visit so you leave with a clear next step. You don't need to have everything figured out beforehand. Expect a collaborative, evidence-based conversation with an RD who values education, compassion, and sustainable progress.
